Scott Johnson, CEO

Scott Johnson, CEO and Founder of AtTask is recognized as a business leader who challenges traditional management mentalities and applies out-of-the-box thinking to solve the important business problems faced by organizations today. “What I really care about is helping organizations understand and organize the work that is most important to business success,” says Johnson. “Business leaders who are able to clearly communicate objectives and efficiently organize the workplace empower their employees to maximize the value of their efforts. A true adrenaline junky, Scott hasn’t found a sport that involves going fast with something strapped to his feet he doesn’t like. The same passion for pushing limits to achieve excellence in extreme sports helped make AtTask a fast growing company that has been instrumental in helping thousands of business leaders empower their workforce, streamline processes, and transform their businesses.

Johnson is a graduate of Brigham Young University and an acknowledged expert in project management. An engaging speaker and consultant, Johnson has been featured in such publications as CIO Magazine, Business Management Magazine, PM Network, and Business Week.

Nate Bowler, CTO

Nate Bowler has been with AtTask as a partner and co-founder since 2002. As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Bowler is responsible for the product management, software architecture, and operations roles for the company. He brings over 14 years of software development management experience working with customers in the delivery of products that solve business needs.

Prior to AtTask, Bowler managed Excite@Home’s AT&T Small Business Hosting engineering team. In addition to his role as software development manager, Bowler served as lead engineer for many products including e-commerce store building tools and payment gateway technology developed in partnership with First Data Corporation. Bowler has also been a consultant in the development of web-based HR management and 360 degree feedback solutions for Hewlett Packard, Cisco Systems, Amoco Corp, and Nortel Networks while at Novations Group.

Bowler holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University.

Michael Olson, CFO

With over thirteen years of financial management experience in software, hardware, and manufacturing, Michael Olson is responsible for the overall financial direction and strategy of AtTask as well as the legal and human resource departments. Olson joins AtTask from inthinc, inc., The SCO Group, and Arthur Anderson.

Olson holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance and a Masters Degree in Accounting from Utah State University.

Jackie Golden, Vice President of Global Professional Services

Jackie Golden, AtTask’s Vice President of Global Professional Services, joins AtTask with a proven record of managing professional services organizations for many successful software companies including Hyperion, Cognos, and Ascential/IBM, that exceeded revenue targets and profitability goals.  Golden will serve a key role in improving AtTask’s level of customer service, enabling organizations worldwide to be more efficient and productive.

Golden holds an Executive M.B.A. in business from San Diego State University.

Jeff Allen, Vice President of Marketing

As Vice President of Marketing, Jeff Allen is responsible for the development and execution of all aspects of global marketing for the company.

Allen has spent the past 15 years working in technology marketing, sales and product management roles. Most recently, Allen was Vice President of Marketing at Venafi, where he helped establish the enterprise key management market and successfully positioned Venafi as the #1 pure play vendor in the space. Prior to Venafi, Allen served in various senior product management and marketing roles in Novell's Security, Identity and Linux businesses, Excite@Home’s ecommerce and hosting businesses and at manufacturing automation firm Auto-Soft (now Applied Materials). Allen began his technology career in sales, where he was a top producer for eleven consecutive quarters.

Karl Clegg, Vice President of Sales

As Vice President of Sales at AtTask and the newest member of the Executive Team, Karl Clegg brings to the table over 23 years of Sales experience; 11 of which in middle and upper management positions. Before joining AtTask, Karl served as Vice President of Inside Sales at Ingenix (United Health Group) in Salt Lake City.

As a leader in the Sales profession, Karl understands the importance of excellence. Since 1997, Karl and the teams he’s led have always hit 100% or more of their yearly quotas. Such achievements and hard work may make him seem like a work-a-holic, but Karl is a true family man; he loves to spend time with his wife, five children, and grandson. Outside of the office, Karl enjoys the outdoors and breathing fresh air on the golf course, as well as coaching various youth baseball and basketball teams.

Karl earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management at Brigham Young University, and has been able to use his education to benefit various companies such as WordPerfect, PowerQuest, Symantec, Ingenix, and now, AtTask. 

Trevor Ward, General Manager of EMEA

Trevor Ward, our General Manager of EMEA, is focused on maximizing our customers’ success and growing our sales, services, and partner capabilities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. “I believe in the value of building relationships,” says Trevor. “Therefore, I spend as much time as possible in the field with our customers and partners discussing Work Management and how @task can improve people’s work and their work-lives.”

Trevor has an academic background in Electronic Engineering  and is no stranger to the software industry. He has spent more than twenty years in leadership positions at organizations like IntraLinks, Adobe Systems, Microsoft, and Lotus Development, and was most recently Vice President of UK and Ireland for IntraLinks.

True to the customs of the United Kingdom, Trevor and his family live and breathe football (soccer). Or, as he would put it, “We are football mad! He and the family are season ticket holders at the Reading FC stadium and his sons play for the Reading FC Youth Academy and Clubs Development Centre.  Outside of work and watching football, Trevor keeps himself busy with healthy hobbies in running and coaching.  He also likes getting his hands greasy working on motorcycles and cars in his garage.

Scott Maxwell

Scott Maxwell is founder and Senior Managing Director of OpenView Venture Partners.  Prior to OpenView, Maxwell was Managing Director at Insight Venture Partners, having joined Insight in 2000.  Maxwell was previously a partner at Putnam Investments where he was the Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer of the Global Equity Division at Lehman Brothers, and as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Maxwell graduated from M.I.T. with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Sigma Xi) and an MBA from M.I.T. Sloan School of Management.  He also has a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.

Firas Raouf

Firas Raouf is a Venture Partner at OpenView Venture Partners.  Prior to joining OpenView, Firas was a Venture Partner at Insight Venture Partners.  Prior, Firas was the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of eEye Digital Security—an Insight portfolio company.  As a member of the senior executive team and board member, Firas focused on eEye’s sales and marketing operations driving growth year after year.  Firas was previously a senior consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton and a member of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology Group at Eli Lilly & Company where he was responsible for the research, development, and deployment of new process technologies.

Raouf holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University and a Masters of Engineering Management from the Thayer School at Dartmouth College.

Steve Erickson

Steve Erickson, of Sage Creek Partners, has 23 years of experience in public accounting and executive financial positions.  Most recently Steve was Vice President of the Altiris Business Unit within Symantec responsible for the successful operational integration of Altiris with Symantec.

Steve was CFO at Altiris and oversaw the process to secure pre-public venture capital, the IPO process, and post IPO secondary offerings.  Steve also oversaw SARBOX compliance as well as working closely with the audit and tax teams.

He provided the oversight to the financial modeling needed on both the revenue and cost side to help provide direction to the business alignment discussion at the executive staff level. Prior to Altiris, Steve was CFO/Controller at a privately held $135 million corporation where he oversaw all aspects of financial management.  Steve has 10 years of audit and accounting experience with Deloitte & Touche and Arthur Anderson.
